I’m Tahlicia, a NAATI Certified Auslan–English interpreter based in Western Australia with over 10 years of experience working alongside Deaf and hearing communities across a wide range of settings.

Over the years, I’ve interpreted in education, medical, workplace, community, corporate, and formal event environments, supporting meaningful communication and connection between people. My work has included everything from classrooms and appointments through to conferences, graduations, training sessions, and professional meetings. I’m passionate about supporting spaces where people feel informed, included, respected, and comfortable communicating in the way that works best for them.

Alongside interpreting, I’m also involved in interpreter education and mentoring, supporting emerging interpreters to develop practical skills, confidence, and reflective practice within the profession. I recently completed my Graduate Diploma of Auslan–English Interpreting through Macquarie University, continuing my commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

I’ve also had the opportunity to contribute to the interpreting profession through conference presentations, mentoring, and professional leadership roles. I was a co-presenter at the WASLI Oceania Conference in Fiji 2025 on interpreting practice and professional development within the Auslan interpreting profession, and was a panel speaker at the ASLITA National Conference 2024 discussing mentoring and its importance in supporting sustainable professional growth within the industry. I am an ASLITA-trained mentor and have previously served as President of ASLITA WA and as a Director on the ASLITA National board.
